Human development and improved quality of life of the people are the ultimate goals of all government activities. Quality of life and development can only be achieved with the mind and body healthy. Health is the fundamental ingredient of all development activities. The state needs a well qualified workforce to manage health-related problems and promoting positive health. The Medical Education Department plays a key role in developing medical and paramedical staff to meet the health needs of the state. The department also has a role to play in establishing and maintaining well-equipped educational institutions, which are the focal points of first with the state of the art equipment and technology. Research is another area of activity for the Department of Medical Education.
