Established in 1973, Kumaun University has two expansive campus with 27 affiliated colleges spread over the entire Kumaun region. The total area covered by the university so far is an impressive 150 acres. The beautifully designed schools fit perfectly into the surrounding architecture and complete the magnificent scenery. In order to meet the technical education and vocational training, another school is being built in Bhimtal. Special emphasis is placed on Kumaun to defend the motto of teaching excellence and high quality research.
