The University grew out of a university that was "The Faculty of Engineering, Vizagpatnam" as he was appointed at the time of its creation in 1946 by the then Government of Madras compound is in a sprawling campus of 110 acres full of mango trees in a fast developing port city of Kakinada on the east coast of the peninsula of India and situated in an area that over generations, have contributed significantly to the political culture and cultural heritage of the country. This school became a component of the WEF 02.10.1972 Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University through an act of the legislature, along with other related institutions under the control of the then Director of Technical Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh. Earlier, it was affiliated to Andhra University. In 2003 the college has become autonomous.

Fellow program in management (FPM):-

Applications are accepted for the program. The areas of expertise - finance accounting and control systems and information technology, promotion, organizational behavior and human resources, quantitative methods and operations management and strategic management

Fellowship:-

RS. 17,000 / - per month for the first and second year, Rs. 18000 / - for the third and fourth and Rs 9000 / - for the first six months of the fifth year. An additional grant of Rs 6000 / - is scheduled for top artists from the second year. In addition, an emergency grant of Rs 1,20,000 / - more than 4 years.

Eligibility:-

Academic Eligibility: One of the following qualifications will be required as basic eligibility.
Post-Graduate degree or equivalent in any discipline (including M.A, M.Sc., M.Com, MBA, MCA, M.Tech etc) with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
Professional qualifications of CA, ICWA and CS with at least 50% marks or equivalent.
Professional qualifications such as MBBS and LLB with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA *
Engineering degrees, viz., B.Tech and BE, with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA*

For EMEP, the selection is based on the Executive Management Aptitude Test (EMAT) conducted by IIMK every year and interviews, through the IDL platform, the short list of candidates on the basis of the EMAT.

AFMC Entrance Exam Eligibility :-

1. Applicants must have passed the XII standard/pre-professional/premedical examination or equivalent examination of statutory Indian University/Board or any other recognized Board/University as a regular student in all the subjects opted for in FIRST ATTEMPT with the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology securing not less than 60% of aggregate marks in the three science subjects taken together, not less than 50% marks in each of the science subjects and not less than 50% marks in English.
2. They must have also passed an examination in Mathematics at least of the matriculation standard.
3. A graduate of B.Sc. Examination with not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany or Zoology) and also must have passed the earlier qualifying examination i.e. XII standard/Pre professional (Med) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and obtained marks as stated above
4. Must have attained the age of 17 years on 31 December 2010

AIPMT Examination Eligibility –2010:-

1. He / She have completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December.
2. He upper age limit for All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination.
3. The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination.

WBJEE Eligibility:-

1. passed the H.S. (10+2) or its equivalent examination
2. 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biological Sciences taken together (40% for SC/ST candidates) and at least 30% marks in English (for all categories).
3. Age-between 17 years and 24 years of age on 31st December 2010.

WBJEE Admit Card:-

Upon receipt of application form WBJEE 2010 of the Board, Admit card will be sent to the applicant indicating the Examination Center of the Common Entrance Examinations by speed post.
However, the Board is not responsible for the consequences that may arise due to the loss of admit card in transit. The form number is the registration number.
If the applicant does not receive the admit card on 3 April 2010, he / she must contact the Board's website to determine if your application form number listed for the cancellation of the application forms . If not, then he / she should contact in person / through authorized representative, along with the following relevant documents for the acquisition of duplicate admit card.
a. Photocopy of the filled-in Application Form WBJEE.
b. Postal Landslide for sending filled in Application Form (Speed Post).
c. Two identical copies of color photographs (as pasted on the application form) duly certified by the recognized head of the institution last attended.
d. Bank of sliding (which is retained by the candidate).
e. Original Madhyamika admit cards (10 standard) or equivalent examinations / HS (10 +2) or equivalent examinations.

Duplicate admit card will be issued by the office of the Board, candidates for 11.4 person concerned in the period from 06.04.2010 to 9.04.2010.
After receipt, if the original admit card is lost before tests below to obtain a duplicate card supports the original copy of the missing diary housed in the local police station in this regard will have to be produced, besides the documents mentioned, as mentioned above [Vide a) to e)]. Required rate of Rs. 200 / - (Rupees Two hundred only) in the form of a Bank project to be developed for "West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board" payable at Kolkata / Howrah have to pay for it.
Candidates must ensure that photographs of the admit card not mutilated / distorted / dirty, even by accident and hologram on the picture attached is not broken or removed. Candidates admitted with such cards is not allowed to appear in Common Entrance Examination.
Candidates must keep their cards carefully supported in a safe place in perfect condition in all aspects as mentioned until the completion of the admission procedure. No duplicate Admit Card will be issued after the joint entrance examination under any circumstances.
All applicants who appear to be eligible at first glance, have been provisionally allowed to sit for the Common Entrance Examination. If, after scrutiny at any time, one finds that the applicant is eligible otherwise their candidature will be automatically canceled, even if he / she has appeared in the common entrance examination and secured a place in the merit list or any stage Counseling / admission or registration.
The nomination of a candidate is automatically canceled if he / she has none of the required documents in original in case of counseling / admission / registration for the fulfillment of eligibility criteria and other as specified above.

AIEEE Admit Cards:-

The Admit Card will be sent by post "Under Certificate of Posting (UPC)" to the campaigner (including carry on who made application online) about four weeks before the conduct of the examination, however, the Board will not be creditworthy for any consequences that may arise due to loss of admit card in transit.
It will be the responsibility of the candidate to contact/write to the Board in case he/ she is not in reception of the Admit Cards by 6th April 2010.
In case the Admit Card is not got by 6th April 2010, Such request be sent to the adopting address with two photographs (as pasted on the Application Form), one should be attested by Principal of the institution where candidate is studying/passed XII or by the gazetted officer.
